Because oceanography is a fundamentally interdisciplinary field of study, our curriculum is flexible and wide ranging. Students are required to take three out of four introductory core courses (e.g., Atmospheric Sciences, Chemical Oceanography, Marine Geology and Geophysics or Physical Oceanography), as well as at least four electives in biological oceanography. In addition, advanced courses throughout the University curriculum can be taken to round out a student’s training.
